In a classroom, the teacher would buy the Manual, and the students would use the Student Booklet. The Student Booklet includes the word lists, the picture exercises, and the illustrated and unillustrated stories. All the advice to the instructor that is contained in the Manual is left out of the Student Booklet. Therefore, the Student Booklet is smaller and less expensive than the Manual. If you're a homeschooling parent, you won't need the Student Booklet, because everything in it is also in the Manual for Tutors and Teachers of Reading.
